Sketches is our first iPhone/Touch app. Of course, it is a work in progress, but we are having so much fun coding it while exploring the iPhone that we are planning to release updates frequently - well, as frequently as our duties on Xslimmer will allow!

The current version already allows you to draw on the screen, select a picture from the photo album or shoot a photo to draw on top of it. It will save your work automatically, unless you clear it using the button or shaking your iPhone like an etch-a-sketch. You can draw full-screen: the UI will hide when you tap on the screen.

Version 0.3 brought many improvements, such as the ability to select pencils and colors, a library of stationery to use for your background, saving your work to the photo library (so that you can synchronize back to your computer), send to mail and undo. For the future we shall add complex shapes (stamps), more connectivity options, and many other ideas we will be thrilled to develop.

Version 0.4 brought compatibility with firmware 1.1.1 both for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Version 0.5 brought multitouch shape drawing, firmware 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 compatibility and some visual and reliability improvements.

Version 0.6 brings a new color picker that will allow you to select from a set of 24 colors instead of the previous 6, along with compatibility with firmware 1.1.4.

Version 0.7 allows you to show off your sketches in Twitter! In addition, all export functions will now preserve the original photo orientation, given you have chosen one for your background.

We are two developers that dedicate all our spare time to work on cool apps for the Mac, iPhone and soon the iPod touch ;) We have day jobs, families and the usual commitments of adult life, and that's why we are forced to work on our passion late at night. Someday we'll have such an interesting portfolio and broad clientele that we might rename ourselves EarlyMorningSoft.
